Baby Boomer Generation Offended by New John F. Kennedy Emoji

Social and tech platforms like Apple, Twitter, Instagram & Snapchat have been super nimble in developing new emojis and expressive filters – even in the days of Covid-19, creating new symbols to represent the virus, a ‘washing hands’ emoticon, and more. Often, they’re received well, and are helpful to society at large.

That’s what left those folks who lived through the 60s really surprised at the new JFK emoji.  Frankly, so am I – does the former president and what happened to him in Dallas come up so frequently in conversation that we must put it in shorthand?

I understand it’s a buzzy topic still for conspiracy theorists, and he was def a chill guy – but unlike Lee Harvey Oswald, with this one, Apple missed.
