Campaign 2020: Trump Asking Voters for ‘All Five Fifths of Their Vote’?

It’s 2020, and campaigns don’t run the way they used to.  Prevalent is the mud-slinging, the fake news, and the gaffes are a plenty.  But, Trump may have crossed a line at a recent Arkansas rally.  After a 90 minute narcissistic speech about various things he’d done with were tremendous, and really quite good, and ask anyone, because they will tell you, everyone is saying so, that it’s been good, he finished strong on a charge slamming immigrants, physically deriding Democrats and demanding the imprisonment of dozens of highly respected officials for whom he’d once held fundraisers.

But, that didn’t shock anyone – it was his final closing call that stunned even Arkansas loyalists – “I’m Donald Trump, I want to make America great again, and I’m asking for all five fifths of your vote this fall!!”  It elicited a roar since many of those attending could barely read, much less follow a train of thought.  But, it left many pondering how far back he wanted to go, and which era of America he considered great?
